Praise for Killer Ratings

“What a fun read!  As an insider in the TV industry, let me just say that author, Lisa Seidman is spot on when it comes to the backstage drama of a television show.  And she’s not exaggerating!  The characters were so lifelike and real, I felt like I knew them.  But you don’t have to be a Hollywood insider to enjoy this murder mystery.  Anyone could pick up this book and become enthralled with the characters and the story from the very first page.  I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a fun whodunit.”  Dena Higley, former head writer, Days of our Lives

Lisa Seidman weaves together vivid characters, delightful mystery, and the wry wit of a true TV insider to create a delicious tale of reckless ambition and literal and figurative backstabbing that will not only entertain you, but change your relationship with your television forever.”  Sheryl J. Anderson, Killer Heels

“Fascinating.  Fast-paced.  Fun.  Emmy winning scriptwriter Lisa Seidman’s debut mystery goes backstage at a TV production company where pride, passion, and peril lead to Killer Ratings.  A Killer Mystery.”  Carolyn Hart, author of the Death on Demand series

“Take an edgy TV production team, add a sprinkling of fierce ambition and finish off with a large handful of paranoia and you have the perfect setting for murder.  TV writer Lisa Seidman, who’s been on that set, skillfully does it all in Killer Ratings.   Annette Meyers, author of the Death on Demand series

“In Killer Ratings, Lisa Seidman, a television writer herself, provides a thrill ride through the ambition-ridden and ego saturated world of TV production, where there is more death and drama behind the camera than in front of it.”  Sue Ann Jaffarian, author of the Odelia Grey mysteries and the Ghost of Granny Apples mysteries

Killer Ratings is out!

First of all, let me explain the photo of me in front of “West Valley Charter High School.”  It’s the name of the high school in the Nick@Nite teen soap I wrote for, “Hollywood Heights” and was used as background as the exterior set of the school.

The series is currently airing on Nickelodeon, M-F, at 9 pm.  If you know any teenage girls please tell her to watch.  Although, my 82 year old mother is also watching, and loving, the show so maybe Nick has a whole new demographic.

Anyway, my mystery novel, “Killer Ratings,” has finally been published and can be downloaded from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, even iTunes, onto your computer or reader.

It’s a murder mystery that takes place behind the scenes of a semi-successful TV series, “Babbitt & Brooks,” and is loosely based on my 30 odd years of experience as a TV writer both in primetime and daytime.

I hope you’ll read it, and especially, I hope you will enjoy it.
